Message From the Parkway Preschool Coordinator

Greetings, Preschool Families!

March brings the excitement of changing seasons, outdoor learning, and new adventures! This month, students will continue exploring hands-on activities that spark curiosity and creativity while building important early learning skills through play.

Hopefully Spring is on the horizon, but if Parkway gets another snow day, we will use our Early Childhood AMI plan. Your child will complete part of the choice board and return it to school the following session. All of the District’s AMI plans are linked here.

Suggested At-Home Activities:
🌱 Plant a Seed – Plant seeds in a cup and watch them grow.
☔ Rainy Day Fun – Explore puddles or measure rainfall.
📖 Spring Storytime – Read spring books and ask questions about the story.
🎨 Nature Art – Create a collage with flowers, leaves, or twigs.
🔢 Number Hunt – Find numbers on signs, houses, and mailboxes.
✂️ Fine Motor Fun – Practice cutting or using tweezers to pick up small items.
🎶 Springtime Songs – Sing favorites like Rain, Rain, Go Away or Five Little Ducks.

These simple activities support learning through play and create meaningful family memories. 🌸

Enjoy Spring Break!

Kindly,
Dr. Gehner
