FAQ

A: Our waitlist is specifically for the current school year and does not carry over to future years. We typically open the waitlist for the current school year once the lottery registration period has concluded.

A: We believe in providing individualized attention for every child. That's why all of our classrooms have a maximum of 18 students. To ensure a supportive learning environment, our staffing ratios are:

• Full-Day Classrooms: 1 Lead Teacher & 2 Teacher Assistants
• Half-Day Classrooms: 1 Lead Teacher & 1 Teacher Assistant
• Team-Taught Half-Day Classrooms (two classes combined): 2 Lead Teachers & 2 Teacher Assistants

A: Yes, families are asked to provide snacks for their child. Please also send a refillable water bottle with your child every day.

• Half-Day Classrooms: One snack time.
• Full-Day Classrooms: Two snack times, with lunch provided by the school.

A: If a spot becomes available for your child, you'll be contacted via email by Natalie Lichius (nlichius@parkwayschools.net). You'll then have two days from the email's send date to accept or decline the placement.

A: To be considered for a preschool placement, all families must first complete our Google class preference form for each child. This step is required before formal enrollment with the district. Once you receive a confirmed placement email from Natalie Lichius (nlichius@parkwayschools.net), you will then proceed to register online through the Registrar's Office.

A: No, you do not have to be a Parkway resident. Non-residents can also enroll but are charged non-resident rates. 

A: No, your child does not have to be potty-trained.

A: You can choose any location that has availability.

A: Yes, only if you want placement in a general education classroom. You DO NOT need to enter the lottery if your child will continue in an ECSE classroom.

A: Yes, Parkway Early Childhood follows the Parkway School District calendar.

Our typical operating schedule runs from August through May. We are closed on all days the district is closed, including:

• Half-day / Early Release days
• Inclement weather days
• School holidays
• Breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer)
